Chocolate Avocado Mousse

A Healthy Dessert

Chocolate avocado mousse is one of those desserts that have been “trendy” in recent years. Recipes with avocado appear more and more often in cooking blogs (like this one…), magazines, television shows, and kids-friendly websites.

αβοκάντο

Avocado is a superfood whose mild, subtle flavor allows the tastes of the other ingredients in the recipe—especially the incomparable chocolate—to stand out.

Rich in “good” fats, Omega-3, vitamins, and high-quality protein, avocado combined with addictive chocolate is what we call “the pleasant combined with the beneficial.”

μους σοκολατα αβοκαντο

If you enjoy the taste of avocado, use unsweetened cocoa to make the mousse. At the end of every spoonful you will notice a very mild, delicate flavor of the ripe fruit. However, if you want to use avocado mainly for its benefits but are not particularly fond of its flavor, choose one of the cocoa mixes sold in supermarkets for chocolate drinks.

I recently tried the second version at a friend’s house and I must admit it is more playful, more childlike, and more… comforting.

The choice is yours!
