I think it\u2019s the only recipe for a spinach pie that does not contain onions. Older generations made this pie with garden herbs, but mostly with whatever they could find in the fields. The old housewives put a little spinach and lettuce in the pie, and plenty of chervil, hartwort, nettles, dill and mint. Today, they use mainly greens and herbs from their home gardens, of which there are still to be found in the village, but also from what they find in grocery stores and outdoor markets.
