And when we say generous, we mean that in an individual portion she may add 3 or even 4 cloves.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If you like the taste and aroma of garlic, add plenty, it suits this dish wonderfully. Add 1 tablespoon coarse salt and cook the pasta according to the instructions on the package.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Place a wide, deep frying pan over the heat. Finely chop or crush the garlic and add it to the pan.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Add 2\u20133 tablespoons of water and let it come to a brief boil, just enough to soften its harshness. However, if you like the intense aroma and flavor, skip this step and make the recipe without lightly steaming the garlic.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">After lightly steaming the garlic (if you do so), add olive oil to the pan, about 3\u20134 tablespoons, and let it lightly brown.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-7942\" src=\"https:\/\/foodurismo.com\/cms\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/GARLIC-PASTA-MIX2-960x540.jpg\" alt=\"cherry tomatoes and basil in the pan\" width=\"960\" height=\"540\" srcset=\"https:\/\/foodurismo.com\/cms\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/GARLIC-PASTA-MIX2-960x540.jpg 960w, https:\/\/foodurismo.com\/cms\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/GARLIC-PASTA-MIX2-595x335.jpg 595w, https:\/\/foodurismo.com\/cms\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/GARLIC-PASTA-MIX2-768x432.jpg 768w, https:\/\/foodurismo.com\/cms\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/GARLIC-PASTA-MIX2.jpg 1200w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 960px) 100vw, 960px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Wash the cherry tomatoes and cut them in half or into quarters. Add them to the pan as well. Add salt, pepper, and the sugar. Add the basil too. Stir well.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Take one Greek coffee cup of the pasta cooking water and pour it into the pan with the cherry tomatoes. Lower the heat and let them cook for 4 to 5 minutes.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Turn off the heat and leave the pan on the burner. Place the pot with the pasta next to it and, using a pasta fork, transfer the pasta into the pan with the sauce. You should leave a little water clinging to the pasta, so do not drain it completely.
